Preparation of documents necessary for application of update examination

The validity of the certificate of explosion-proof electrical equipment is 3 years. If you intend to manufacture or import explosion-proof electrical equipment that has passed the certification even after the 3-year validity period has passed, apply for a renewal certification before the expiration date indicated on the certification certificate expires. You can apply for the renewal test three months prior to the expiration date of the pass certificate. If you pass the renewal test, the validity period will be renewed for another 3 years. It is not necessary to apply for renewal if it has passed the type approval as a single item.
If the application for renewal is not made within the validity period of the certificate, and you want to continue manufacturing or importing the explosion-proof electrical equipment, a new application is required. If it is within 3 months after the expiration date and the specific factory electrical equipment explosion protection guideline which is the standard of the certification applied to the accepted products is not invalidated, the special exception of the certification fee can be applied. However, even if the criteria for the examination change, if the requirements to apply and the examination do not change, the special exception is applicable. Please inquire separately.
In addition, “structural standards” that have passed before September 30, 2008, or “international harmonized explosion-proof guidelines 2008” * 1 Those that have passed the examination based on the above can not apply for the same model addition after March 1, 2016 (except those passed according to the “International harmonized explosion protection guidelines”).
The term of validity of the certificate means that the product can be manufactured or imported in the same type as the explosion-proof electrical equipment that has passed the certification, not the product’s usable period.

Documents necessary for application of update examination

The following documents are required for applying for the renewal test. Basically, use A4 size paper, and for larger documents, A3 to A1 and fold it to A4 size. The description method of these documents should conform to the case of the application for new certification.

Renewal application form

We submit two update certification application forms. One of them will be returned as an applicant copy, with the acceptance mark. Please fill in the application form as per the certificate of approval * 1 . In the Validity Period column, describe the current valid period. Please fill in all fields so that there are no blanks.
*1 The rating column of the Certificate of Permit based on the criteria of the International Consistent International Explosion Guidelines 2015 or later shows the number of the applied guideline (or IEC standard etc.) and the year, but these are also listed in the rating column of the renewal application form. please record it.
  1. Please fill in the same contents as the corresponding column of the pass certificate in each column of the renewal certification application form*1。In addition, although there is a “condition of use” column in the certificate, please do not add this form as there is no such column in the application form for renewal certification.
    *1 The rating column of the Certificate of Permit based on the International Conformational Protection Guideline indicates the number of the applied guideline (or IEC standard etc.) and the year. Please also describe these in the rating column of the renewal application form.
  2. If the manufacturer is headquartered, be especially careful to enter the head office name in the manufacturer column.
  3. In the Validity Period column, please fill in the last (most recent) valid period (not the valid period after this update) listed in the certificate of acceptance.
  4. You can not apply for a renewal exam after the expiration date, so please be careful when applying. In addition, application for renewal examination is accepted from three months before expiration date. If you do not apply before the expiration date, the certificate will lose its validity. If you need the same certificate, you have to apply for a new certification * 1 .
    *1 For the new certification, the criteria for certification at the time of application (the applicable factory electrical equipment explosion-proof guidelines) apply.
  5. If there is a change in the address, etc., please make a written application for changing the items on the certificate, and make sure that the certificate is correct. The same is true when there is a change in the housing display. If there is a difference between the pass certificate and the entry on the renewal application, the renewal application may not be accepted.
  6. Some of the old certificates of acceptance may differ in the way they are written in each column, but please fill in the application form for renewal certification as the certificate of acceptance.
  7. If it is necessary to correct the updated application form, please follow the correction procedure of the new application form.
  8. For items that have passed the type certification under the criteria prior to the International Consistent Explosion Guidelines 2015, it is not necessary to include the EPL symbol in the “Firing rate and explosion class of target gas or vapor” column.

Pass certificate

Pass certificate to attach at the time of update certification application needs all things which we bound at the time of grant and are tricked up. If you do not have all the stuffed items, you can not process the renewal test. Please do not cut off the certificate of approval and the documents attached to it, or discard the abstracts of old production inspection equipment etc.

Summary book of manufacturing inspection facilities

Please attach a summary document of production inspection equipment etc. If the outline sheet of manufacturing inspection equipment etc. has been notified to the official in advance and there is no change in the contents, the outline sheet of the simplified manufacturing inspection equipment etc. can be attached.

Addition of the same model at the time of application for renewal verification

When applying for renewal certification, additions to the same model listed in the certificate may be permitted. If you wish to add the same model, please apply according to the following documents, in addition to the necessary documents for applying for the renewal test. In addition, whether or not the addition of the same model is permitted will be examined before accepting an update application. It will be accepted after it is judged that the addition is permitted. This review takes about a week.
  1. In the margin (above the applicant’s name) of the updated certification application form (both two), “Deform as requested” is described.
  2. Please submit one “specification model additional item specification” which describes what kind of addition you want to make to the same model.
  3. Please submit one “Same Model Reason Document” stating the reason why the applicant judged that the added model can be regarded as the same model.
  4. If there is a change in the content of the same type list due to the addition of the same type, please submit two identical type lists after the change.
  5. When creating a new drawing with the addition of the same model, the contents of the attached drawing list will change, so please submit two attached drawing lists after the change. In this case, please write “Add on update” in the corresponding remarks column of the attached drawing list. Add new drawings behind the drawings.
  6. If you want to add a new structure etc. to a drawing with the addition of the same model, please submit 2 drawings after the change (only the drawing with the change). In this case, please add a new drawing number (or advance the sub number) to the changed drawing to distinguish it from the original drawing. In this case, please enter “changed at the time of update” in the corresponding remarks column of the attached drawing list.
  7. If the model name is added due to the addition of the same model, please submit one description of the model code including the added model.
  8. We may ask you about the additional contents of the same model, so please submit a copy of the applicant’s company name, department, name, phone number, fax number and e-mail address.
  9. If the addition of the same model is not permitted, the original pass certificate will be renewed. In this case, please note that the documents submitted by the above (2) to (8) will be destroyed.

Advance update

If you want to add the same model, or if you want to make the validity period of multiple certificates the same, you can apply for a renewal test by advancing without waiting for the expiration date.
The application procedure is the same as the application for the regular renewal test, but please provide a notice that it is “early renewal” at the time of application, or submit a renewal test application with a note.
