  • 1954 Established Safety Museum Association, an administrative organization of Industrial Safety Technology Center affiliated with the National Institute of Industrial safety the former Ministry of Labour
  • 1965 Establishment of Industrial Safety Research Association inheriting the work of the Safety Museum Association in order to widely contribute to the prevention of occupational accidents
  • 1970 The permission of the Minister of Labour as an incorporated corporation
  • 1971 Designated by the Director-General of the Labour Standards Bureau of the Ministry of Labour as a certification agency based on the explosion-proof electrical machine examination rule
  • 1972 Establish Kansai branch in Osaka
  • 1972 Designation by the Minister of Labour as a type certification agency based on the Industrial Safety and Health Act
  • 1974 Management consignment of industrial safety technology building (Tokyo)
  • 1975 Osaka Industrial Safety Technology Museum operation consignment contract
  • 1975 Designated by the Minister of Labour as an individual certification agency based on the Industrial Safety and Health Act
  • 1976 Renamed Technical Institution of Industrial Safety
  • 1994 Asaka Safety Performance Laboratory opened in Asaka, Saitama Prefecture
  • 1996 Renamed Technology Institution of Industrial Safety
  • 1999 Established Business Department in Headquarters and Quality System Promotion Office in Examination Department
  • 1999 A certification of the quality system(ISO 9002-1994) given to testing Department by the Japan Quality Assurance Organization(JQB) The Testing Department obtains the certification of the quality system (ISO 9002-1994) from the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA)
  • 2000 Kawasaki laboratory opened in Kawasaki city, Kanagawa prefecture
  • 2000 Registered as JICA consultant etc. (Occupational safety & health related)
  • 2002 Established the General Control Department and Explosion-Proof Testing Department
  • 2003 Moved headquarters to Sayama city in Saitama prefecture, and opened Tokyo office in Tokyo
  • 2004 Registration to the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare as an individual / type certification agency by the establishment of the registration system, approval
  • 2004 Establishment of certification section, explosion-proof electrical test section and machine tool test section
  • 2004 Expansion of test building in headquarters
  • 2004 Kawasaki laboratory and Kiyose laboratory relocated to headquarters
  • 2005 Relocate Kansai Office
  • 2005 Japan attends IECEx scheme
  • 2008 Dissolution of the Kansai branch
  • 2010 Expansion of No. 2 test building in Headquarters
  • 2011 Tokyo office and Kansai office closed
  • 2011 Accredited by Cabinet Office, Government of Japan as a public interest incorporated association, and renamed “Public Interest Incorporated Association, Technology Institution of Industrial safety”
  • 2014 Approved as a certification body (ExCB) and testing Laboratory (ExTL) under IECEx system
  • 2014 Osaka office opens in Izumi City, Osaka
  • 2017 Became a registered certification agency for functional safety
