Revised standards for certification of explosion-proof electrical and mechanical equipment manufactured based on the IEC standard

　From the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 基発0831第2号「電気機械器具防爆構造規格第5条の規定に基づき、防爆構造規格に適合するものと同等以上の防爆性能を有することを確認するための基準等について」(Official Notification on Labor Standards 0831-2) was issued on August 31, 2015.

　As a result, from the same day onwards, the standards for certification of explosion-proof electrical machinery and equipment manufactured based on the IEC standards are the factory electrical equipment explosion-proof guidelines (international harmonized technology guidelines) issued by the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health. The first to ninth of the (JNIIOSH-TR-46) (hereinafter referred to as the International Consistent Explosion Guidelines 2015) will be used^*1。

　In addition, with regard to the already approved products to which the Article 5 of the electrical machinery and equipment standard has been applied, renewal is possible only for the effective period, but renewal with the addition of the same model is possible after March 1, 2016, Please note that you will not be able to apply for items other than those that have passed the International Alignment Explosion Guidelines 2015

*1　It is possible to apply for 6 months from August 31, 2015 (JNIOSH-TR-43) according to the factory electrical equipment explosion protection guideline (Technical Guide 2008 in line with international standards) published by the research institute (August 31, 2015) It will be until May 29.).
